Social Mobility in Business - April 2025

Job description

At EY, we're committed to offering opportunities for all. We live in a diverse world and believe our workplace should reflect this. We’ve designed a programme for students in Year 13/S6 (Scotland) and all university undergraduate years, that will give you the tools and experience to support you in your career journey.

Our Social Mobility in Business programme is aimed at raising awareness with students from lower socio-economic backgrounds enabling them to learn more about EY, network with inspiring leaders, and gain an insight into either Assurance, Tax, Strategy and Transactions, or Technology.

What you will be doing

Over two days (one virtual and one in-person), you'll participate in exciting activities that give you a taste of life at EY. You will:

  • Develop your professional skills and personal strengths – helping you propel your career into tomorrow.
  • Explore your interests, network with peers and asking questions.
  • Learn from extraordinary leaders who’ve carved inspirational careers, overcome challenges, and made a difference.
  • Hear from our EY Social Mobility Network about the structured support, training and opportunities available.
  • Gain insight into your chosen business area: Audit - go beyond studies and see how we work with clients from local start-ups to big multinational companies; Tax - hear how our apprentices and graduates are helping us to transform the world of Tax; Strategy and Transactions - explore our teams and client projects to give you a deeper understanding of mergers, acquisitions, valuations, as well as looking at the economic circle of our clients; Technology - explore an environment fuelled by our use of artificial intelligence, cyber security, data analytics and beyond. And develop an understanding of how your passion for technology can solve complex problems for some of the world’s biggest businesses.

Regardless of your chosen business area, our team is dedicated to supporting you every step of the way. You’ll get to prosper in an environment that enables you to learn, shape and grow.

And that’s not all — If you're in school, you could have the option to be fast-tracked onto a Business Apprenticeship, and if you're at university you could be fast-tracked onto a Summer Internship, Industrial Placement or Graduate programme. The opportunities here are endless.

Programme length : Two days: Wednesday 16 April - Thursday 17 April 2025.

*Please note you will be able to apply to any of our office locations, but we advise you to apply to the location where you would want to be employed in the future. You will then be invited to the in-person office event at one of the selected locations nearest to you. For the in-person event, EY will cover reasonable travel costs for you to get to the office. There are no overnight stays for these events, and we advise for you to only apply to locations that are within a comfortable commutable distance.
