Job description

Get to know yourself through an EY apprenticeship
It’s okay to not know everything when it comes to your career, as it’s only just beginning. We’re here to support you! Our apprenticeships enable you to supercharge your career and shape your future with confidence. From bots that do number crunching, sustainability projects that positively impact people and the planet, or transforming businesses through technology, we have opportunities to match your passion and strengths.

Supercharge your career through our Business Apprenticeship in Governance
You’ll progress even faster than university-goers, as the projects you’ll work on will provide you with lots of practical experience to fast-track your career.

As companies grow, making sure that compliance with the law can become complex and time-consuming. The Entity Compliance and Governance (ECG) team at EY assists clients in managing this challenge. We ensure companies adhere to all the relevant procedures and regulations in the most efficient manner, reducing risks and boosting efficiency through an innovative, technology-enabled approach. Because of this, companies can focus on achieving their core objectives without worrying about regulatory compliance.

What your career will look like
This two-year programme allows you to gain hands-on paid work as you study towards a Level 4 Apprenticeship equivalent to the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) Foundation Programme. Upon completion of this Programme, you’ll be eligible to progress onto Part One of the Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme. You’ll also have the option to sit the CGI Foundation Programme examinations to obtain the full qualification.

You will:

  • Develop a good understanding of our clients, their organisations, stakeholders, and how they work, across three workstreams within ECG: Managed Services; Governance Advisory; Technology and Transformation.
  • Gain technical skills and learn about relevant company legislation and regulation to support the team with advising clients.
  • Gain experience in supporting and coordinating a variety of governance duties such as board meeting tasks, company registrar filings, managing changes in company structure and directorships.
  • Be part of a team developing innovative technology solutions for common challenges in the governance space.
  • Have opportunities for secondments to our diverse clients across a range of sectors.

You'll be in a supportive team and will receive regular coaching and mentoring. You'll be learning on-the-job and will be given access to regular training opportunities. Plus, your experience doesn't stop once you've completed the programme - we'll continue to give you opportunities to progress within EY.
