Audit Industrial Placement - July 2025

Job description

Want to gain some industry experience? An industrial placement will not only support your studies, but will support you in shaping your future career with confidence.

Get to know yourself through an EY Industrial Placement
It’s okay to not know everything when it comes to your career, as it’s only just beginning. We’re here to support you! Our Audit Industrial Placement enables you to supercharge your career in business and shape your future with confidence. From bots that do number crunching, sustainability projects that positively impact people and the planet, or transforming through technology, we have opportunities to match your passion and strengths.

Supercharge your career through our Audit Industrial Placement
Get started on real client projects from day one! Partake in a unique experience that balances world-class audit education with technological know-how. Work alongside a huge range of unique and inquisitive minds as you prepare the world of Audit for the digital takeover. Embark on a career journey you can own and shape with confidence.

As a member of our team, you’ll experience the EY digital audit. And you’ll get hands-on face-to-face exposure to big clients and the unique challenges they face. We’re the only firm that gives you this kind of tech-first, client-facing approach to audit – and at such a global scale. This is your opportunity to give businesses, from start-ups to governments, confidence in how they manage their accounts. One day, you could be on site with a client, building key relationships, the next, you could be crafting long-lasting business strategies. It’s a dynamic programme that prepares you for your future. And enables you to sit at the very cutting edge of business – helping us build a better world as you build a varied career.

This one-year programme allows you to gain hands-on paid work as you kick-start your study towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.

As an Audit Industrial Placement student, you will:

  • Get to know our clients, their businesses and how they work.
  • Test checks and balances to ensure they work how they’re supposed to.
  • Analyse the data that goes into a financial statement to make sure it is true and fair.
  • Help businesses publish reliable financial accounts as you lay the foundations for your career.
  • Use hybrid working to spend time on client sites, in the office and at home
  • Have a dedicated careers counsellor throughout the programme to help you during busier seasons, development and learning

You’ll be learning on-the-job and will be given access to regular training opportunities. Plus, your experience doesn't stop once you've completed the programme - you may be offered a place on the Audit Graduate Programme to continue your career development.
