Compliance Intern Placement

Job description

As a result of our continued success and growth we are seeking a Compliance Intern working within the Governance Team to further strengthen the function.

You will play a key role in maintaining Governance systems, covering core topics such as Data Protection, Information Security, Trade Compliance and Internal Controls, to meet all internal and external requirements. Utilising your networking and communication skills and knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and standards you will support our global organisation to promote and embed good governance across all business operations. As a valued member of the governance team you will have the opportunity to interact with all business functions understand their key drivers and assist them in reviewing existing practices and creating new, innovative and compliant solutions.

What awaits you?

  • Help Embed Governance Across the Business:
  • Support various business areas in appropriately integrating good governance practices into their operations.
  • Develop an up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidance and accreditation standards to promote organisational change and increase compliance.
  • Develop and Deliver Governance Activities and Resources:
  • Initiate, deliver and promote governance-related activities and resources across the organisation.
  • This includes creating regular communications, briefing sessions, training and maintenance of Internal communication channels e.g. intranet site.
  • Present content in an engaging and intuitive manner, ensuring information remains relevant, accurate and up-to-date.

13 month placement July (2025).

What we are looking for

  • Studying towards a legal related degree is strongly preferred, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, (written and verbal), confident presenting and good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good networking skills, able to quickly build rapport.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to review, interpret and present information in a concise and precise manner.
  • Self-motivated & able to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Supportive & collaborative approach to resolving problems.
  • Diligent, responsible, takes pride in own work and passionate about doing a good job.
