Our three-year Business Management Graduate Programme offers a unique opportunity to gain all-round experience at National Highways, helping you develop the skills and knowledge you need to thrive in a dynamic, evolving organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
Through a series of rotating placements across the business, you’ll get exposure to diverse areas such as:
- Customer Service
- Business Transformation
- Strategy and Communications
You’ll work alongside our specialist teams and contribute to exciting projects that shape the future of National Highways. In your role, you’ll:
- Help develop our long-term strategies
- Support future business planning efforts
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
You’ll also have the opportunity to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table, making a direct impact on how we meet the needs of our customers and clients who rely on our road network every day.
And at the end of your programme, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to continue your own journey with us, in whichever direction you choose.

What we are looking for
If you have the passion and dedication to succeed, you’ll be a great match for our programme. To be successful, you’ll have:
- An enthusiastic, collaborative approach to working with others
- The ability to communicate in different formats with a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent co-ordination skills
- The ability to plan and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
- A focus on quality and integrity in everything you do
- An undergraduate degree (2:2 or above) in any subject
- To be eligible for a place on the programme, you must be available to attend the 4-day induction, 8 -11 September
Due to the salary level of this role, we cannot offer sponsorship for the position for individuals that don't have the Right to Work in the UK. Successful candidates will require Right to Work for the duration of the programme.
