Course content

As a PhD student at the University of Wolverhampton, you are granted a wide range of unique opportunities to compliment your award with further skills and training.

The School of Engineering, including your regular supervisors during research for your thesis and oral examination, will encourage and enable you to participate in conferences, skills development and research training, where you will network with postgraduates in and outside of the University and bolster your CV with relevant skills.

Alumni possessing their award have previously pursued careers in academia, government, NGOs and the private sector among others, all work paths opened to you with the experience and qualifications this course provides.

Information for international students

For an applicant wishing to pursue a Research Degree in the area of Engineering, whose entry award was not delivered in English, or non-native speaker of English shall be required to demonstrate proficiency in English at least to the level of an IELTS score of 6.5 (Writing - 6.5 and no less than 6.0 in any other component) or its equivalent.
