About University of Wolverhampton
At the University of Wolverhampton, we’re proud of the opportunities we create for our students. By transforming lives, we contribute to a more inclusive, productive, and sustainable society.
Our incredible student community is diverse, and people of all backgrounds and ages from across the world pursue their ambitions together, changing not only their lives and futures, but those of countless others around the world.
We hold inclusivity as one of our key values, alongside our resilience through change, our ambition to deliver excellence, and our pledge to always be accountable.
Career preparation
Many of our courses are based on a foundation of partnership: with local NHS trusts, professional bodies or high-profile industry partners, ensuring your studies are directly relevant to the industry you’re working in.
We offer a wide range of careers support and advice, including specific information, advice, and job opportunities for academic and non-academic sectors such as teaching, research, and enterprise.
Jamey Ingold, who graduated with a Master of Public Health in 2020, said that her time at the university was “an experience that challenged me but made me grow as a person, for the better. Studying here helped to broaden my horizons.”
If you have a great idea and are looking to set up your own business, our business start-up support includes specialist workshops, match-funded grants, business consultancy and the potential to access professional office space free of charge for up to 12 months.
Staff expertise
Our university lecturers have been praised in our student reviews for being friendly and approachable. Many staff have notable achievements in their field, are active in research, or have specific industry links that bring benefits directly to their students. According to the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021), more than half of our research is judged as internationally excellent or world-leading.
I found the staff very helpful and supportive, who were also very responsive and engaged us with activities, letting the online students feel like part of the team.
