Entry requirements

The entry requirements to study the Law Conversion Course (PGDL) are:

  • Minimum 2:2 honours degree
  • Students without a 2:2 honours degree from the UK or Republic of Ireland are required to evidence that they meet the academic entrance requirements of the relevant professional body. This includes applicants with overseas degrees or mature students without an undergraduate degree.

Assessment method

Our Law Conversion Course (PGDL) is assessed by a variety of methods.

These include:

  • Written exams
  • Multiple-choice questions,
  • Oral assessments
  • Written coursework

Some examinations will be part-seen, with an advanced release of assessment material.

Coursework is in the form of essays, reports or case studies, while group or individual presentations may be required to assess other competencies.

The pass mark for all assessments is 50%.

BPP University offers flexibility in how these assessments are undertaken, and the programmes will utilise online tools where available to deliver assessments.

Online students will take invigilated assessments in London. You may request to sit assessments overseas or at a regional study centre, though this is not guaranteed, and you will need to meet certain requirements. For more information, please speak to our admissions team.
