Job description
As an industrial placement trainee here's what will await you during your placement year:
- Master the art of auditing: Learn to prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies, a key part of this is:
- Financial statements: Develop a deep understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
- Work side by side with clients: Be immersed into the business world by working directly with a variety of diverse companies. You will need to understand their operations, challenges, and unique circumstances.
- Build relationships: Connect with key stakeholders both with our clients but also internally in your team and across service lines. You will be expected to gather relevant information and build strong professional relationships.
If you are offered a permanent role to return at the end of your placement, you will re-join as a second year after completing your degree. The rest of your training is outlined below.
As you progress, you'll take on increasingly complex audit work, such as; revenue recognition, valuation, and risk assessments. You'll also take ownership of audit engagements by taking a leading role in their delivery. You'll mentor new and more junior team members, helping them to settle in and flourish.

- You must be in the penultimate year of your undergraduate university course (the placement must take place either in your second year of a three year course or thirrd year of a four year course)
