Online Graduate Programme

Job description

Our online business is one of the largest online food businesses in the world, with over 1 million customers having their shopping delivered to their door or collected from one of our 500+ Click+Collect locations every week.

We’re focussed on making online shopping easy, saving customers time for the things that matter most to them. We do this through improving the experience of our customers, helping them to build their baskets with ease on our app, website and making sure we fulfil their orders perfectly every time they shop with us.

We work in cross-functional teams, focussing on different aspects of the online customer experience and fulfilment operation. You could be working in our Whoosh team, growing and improving our rapid delivery service, or in our Automation team, using the latest technology to speed up how we pick orders for customers. There’s also our Marketplace team, helping to offer customers a bigger range of products alongside their weekly food shop plus our Post-order Experience team that continually gives customers the best service possible at the doorstep or when they collect from our stores.

During your 2-year programme you’ll first start off by spending three months in store getting to understand how our stores operate and how we serve our customers and communities. You’ll then spend some time in our fulfilment centres learning how we pick and pack as well as delivering orders to customers. After this you’ll be able to use the knowledge and experience you’ve gained to get stuck in to your first project in one of our teams. We’ll also give you the chance to rotate across other online teams whilst on your programme following a clear development pathway.

By the end of your programme you will have gained all the necessary skills and knowledge you need to set you up for success, but your journey doesn’t stop there, as this programme gives a great foundation to accelerate your career to become a senior leader in our business.

Programme start date: 1 September 2025.

Everyone’s welcome

To us, inclusivity means everyone’s voice is heard and you feel comfortable bringing every part of yourself to work. We celebrate and value everything that makes you, you. We make sure that all colleagues have equal access to opportunities. We’re a big business with diverse working patterns and lots of business areas. So, we can find something that works for you.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for grads with a passion for online. It’s not essential that you have any previous experience but it definitely helps if you can think creatively and logically to help improve our service for customers.
