Industrial Operations: Digital Graduate Programme

Job description

JLR’s graduate programme is where your ambition meets automotive innovation. Learn from visionary industry experts, build your network and gain invaluable industry insight. Become integral to our future and build the exceptional career you deserve. Arrive with potential. Grow with freedom.

Your career starts here.

Industrial Operations: Digital Graduate Programme

When you join the Digital and Innovation team, you’re at the heart of our Industrial Operations function. You’ll be creating Omniverse platforms that transform how we design and build cars.

Working with world-leading suppliers of AI technology, you’ll gain practical experience of designing and developing the virtual toolsets that allow us to test and prove our concepts and ideas. Based at our National Automotive Innovation Centre (NAIC) facilities at Warwick University, you’ll be at the forefront of research and innovation in this field.

What’s more, you could find yourself building digital twins of our factories in the NVIDIA Omniverse and developing Vision inspection systems, including coding artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The programme takes two years to complete and during that time, you’ll be placed on rotation across various teams within the wider Digital and Innovation team. This gives you the opportunity to grow your network and expand your skills while gaining the experience you need to become a successful digital operations professional.

Once you’ve successfully completed your graduate programme, you can look forward to a long-term career with us. The role you take on will depend on your performance, personal preferences and business needs.

Your development

Our graduate programme gives you access to some of the most forward-thinking experts, networking opportunities, and valuable insights from across the industry.

We’ll support your growth every step of the way, both personally and professionally, to help you reach your full potential. As a graduate, you’ll be part of a bespoke learning programme designed to develop essential business skills, including resilience, personal branding, and self-care. Plus, you’ll enjoy dedicated off-the-job learning time and the ongoing guidance, advice, and support of our Early Careers Delivery team, who will be with you throughout your journey.

During the programme, you’ll sharpen your creative and strategic thinking, develop leadership skills, and contribute to key business projects. By the time you finish, you’ll be ready to make an impact and play a vital role in shaping the future of JLR.

Rewards and benefits

Our 2025 graduate programme salary is £32,000, with a £2,000 joining bonus to welcome you to JLR. After two years, you will progress from the graduate programme on a £39,000 salary. In addition, JLR offer a generous holiday allowance, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, excellent pension provisions and access to a wide range of deals and discounts from well-known retailers and sports clubs.

What we are looking for

For the Industrial Operations: Digital and Innovation Graduate Programme, you’ll need to hold or be on track to achieve at least a 2.2 degree in a games-based design or software-based degree. In addition, you should have a degree-level understanding of algorithmic concepts and high-level programming languages such as C++ and Python.

You should be a skilled problem-solver with a curiosity for understanding business challenges and a drive to deliver innovative solutions. Strong interpersonal skills, along with the confidence to champion new initiatives, are also essential.

JLR’s graduate programmes are not eligible for sponsorship and therefore, we will only accept applications for this programme from candidates with the unrestricted right to work in the UK for an indefinite period (if you are on a tier 4 student visa or a graduate route visa you are not eligible to apply to this programme).
