Course content
Explore the current understanding of education for those with autism
This Postgraduate Certificate has been designed for those interested in gaining accreditation and specialist knowledge in the education of children and adults on the autism spectrum.
Through critical debate you will explore the current understanding of autism and evaluates how theory and research has been applied to educational provision and practices.
The education of children and young adults on the autism spectrum has been a key area for development on government agendas and in local authority education policies.
As educationalists, we need to rethink how children and young adults on the autism spectrum are learning in inclusive classrooms, how we recognise their skills and abilities and create opportunities for them to have a say in how they learn.
