Course content
This part-time online course will equip you with the essential knowledge and skills you need to undertake research in social work, social care and social policy.
This programme is only available as an online distance learning course, which provides high quality learning and teaching combined with flexible study.
We’ve designed this course so that it’s entirely delivered online through interactive teaching and learning. You’ll develop the skills you need to become a competent independent researcher whose work will lead to advancements in policy and practice.
It will enable you to meet the standards set out in Vitae’s internationally recognised Research Development Framework, which outlines the skills you need to undertake research to a professional standard while complying with the requirements of UK social research governing bodies.
We’ll provide you with a overview of the key issues and debates associated with the production, application and evaluation of research in social care practice. You’ll develop critical thinking skills and the ability to apply them in complex situations.
