There are no formal entry requirements, but applicants are advised that this course will be delivered at SCQF Level 11, which is equivalent to a postgraduate MSc degree. If you do not have a Bachelors degree or equivalent level qualification, you may find the postgraduate level assessment challenging.

Course content

This course will equip you with a practical understanding of the principles and techniques of data-driven agriculture and enhanced decision-making in agricultural management. It will draw you through the process of data gathering from multiple sources, multivariate data analysis, and applying the result as a part of the management decision process. You will be able to leverage data in livestock management, crop management, soil health, and resource optimisation; and integrate innovative technologies to improve overall farm productivity. The course underpins these essential skills by providing you with a solid foundation in data literacy for effective data-led agricultural management.
