Entry requirements
Applicants must have: * An undergraduate degree from a New Zealand tertiary institution accredited to offer qualifications at this level; OR * An undergraduate degree from an overseas tertiary institution, deemed by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority to be of equivalent standing. OR * Equivalent practical, professional or educational experience. All applicants must have a level of English sufficient to be able to study at this level. Those students whose first language is not English must have: * An international English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall academic score of at least 6.5 (with at least 6.0 in each band) issued within the last two years or equivalent.

Course content
The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management is the first 10 months of the 15-month Master of Applied Management. You will complete the four core compulsory courses from the Master of Applied Management, plus four elective courses of your choice.
Pre-requisite for Business Analytics courses and/or major: To complete these courses, a suitable background in Business Analytics or a related discipline is required.
Choose to study the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management without a major or take specific courses to be awarded a major in one of four elective areas.
This programme consists of eight courses:
- Four core courses (see Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Management)
- MGT801 Critical management issues
- MGT802 Design thinking and innovation management
- MGT803 Managing in a digital world
- MGT804 Leadership and managing talent
- Four 15-credit elective courses or equivalent
Majors
Take specific courses to major in one of the following subject areas and find out more by selecting 'Overview of majors' below:
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Healthcare Management
- Business Analytics
- Aquaculture Management
Alternatively, customise your Master with your choice of electives and no designated major.
