Entry requirements

A 2:2 honours degree with a minimum of 55% or equivalent international qualification. It is helpful, but not essential, to have studied a subject with a quantitative element such as business, accounting, economics, mathematics, physics, engineering, chemistry, geography, computer science or data analytics. We will consider applicants who have taken subjects that do not have a quantitative element but ask them to do some pre-course reading before the start of the programme. No prior finance study is required. Applicants with relevant professional experience or professional qualifications would be welcomed.

Course content

Our MSc Accounting and Finance degree provides graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue roles in professional accounting firms, financial institutions, corporations and non-profit organisations. This programme combines academic theory with the opportunity to undertake a practical consultancy project and build critical assets for your CV.

The MSc Accounting and Finance programme provides a thorough grounding across both critical disciplines. This MSc caters for both those considering careers in professional accounting or the internal finance function of a wide range of organisations on the one hand, or banking and investment on the other. The programme also offers vital knowledge and skills for those interested in setting up and sustaining new ventures.
This MSc in Accounting and Finance is an ideal choice if you have a non-finance, business related undergraduate degree and are looking to transition into either an accounting or finance career. Alternatively, if you have a background in accounting or finance, this programme is an excellent way to deepen your skills and gain a well-recognised postgraduate qualification.
