Job description
As a school leaver apprentice here's what will await you during your four-year training contract. During the first three years you will:
- Learn the fundamentals of UK payroll and pension legislation, technology and professional services processes
- Understand the specific payroll requirements of the sector in which our clients operate in and learn to create, process, validate, and report payroll-related information accurately.
- Apply regulatory, compliance, and legislative standards to payroll processes.
- Interpret payroll-related information to make effective decisions and ensure payroll deadlines are met and assume ownership of tasks through to resolution.
- You will receive an assignment of client payrolls to develop your client relationship skills and independently manage a portfolio.
As you progress in your apprenticeship you will take on an increased portfolio, be expected to self-review your own work and be involved in more complex financial reporting. You'll have a strong knowledge of payroll standards and best practice reporting processes which you apply to your client work. You will be expected to be able to take responsibility for the junior members of your team. You will train them, review their work and support them through their studies.
We are now operating a hybrid working model, so as a trainee you will split your time between working from home, visiting the office, client sites when required or studying for your professional exams.

- On track or have obtained A-levels, BTEC or equivalent qualifications. Strong academic performance is important; however, we understand that things don't always go to plan. Training
- Fully funded professional qualification for this role: Level 3 Payroll Apprentice Administrator
