Job description
This programme is designed for Black Heritage students in their penultimate year of their undergraduate degree. If successful, you will be awarded with funding of at least £5,000 towards living costs for 1 year at university. You will also be offered a paid internship for 8 weeks.
How could you develop?
We’ll assign you to a team where you will work on a specific project. You’ll learn more about our role in the economy and gain ‘on-the-job’ skills.
You’ll also have a bespoke development programme including mentorship, a variety of senior talks and networking events.

If you’re successful, you could be allocated to one of the following areas:
- Monetary Analysis
- Payments
- Markets
- Financial Market Infrastructure
- Financial Stability Strategy and Risk
- Fintech
- UK Deposit Takers Supervision
If your performance is outstanding, we may consider you for a further internship or a place on our Graduate programme.

What we are looking for
- Be in your penultimate year of your undergraduate degree.
- Expecting a 2.1 degree classification.
- Be of Black/mixed Black Heritage background.
- Have a household income of less than £50,778 a year.
