Job description

The Global Technology division manages the critical systems and platforms that form the backbone of the company's retail, commercial and institutional businesses, as well as its key support functions around the world.

We develop and deploy leading-edge technology in areas such as mobile and online banking, payments processing, technology infrastructure, cyber-security, risk and capital management and enterprise data management. Our mainframe environment is the third largest in the world.

The programmes

Our Global Technology Analyst Programmes provide you with a unique experience based on your interests, development opportunities and current business needs. Analyst positions support teams that work on the latest technology and emerging technical trends. Roles in the programs include Software Engineer, Data Management, Business Analyst, Mainframe Analyst and Cybersecurity Analyst.

Participants in the program are supported by our dedicated campus program teams who provide:

  • Peer and mentor relationships with ongoing coaching and development feedback
  • Connections with senior leaders through educational speaker events
  • Opportunities to develop networking skills through connections and engagement events

What we are looking for

  • Applications are accepted from a diverse range of degree disciplines such as the arts and humanities, as well as numerically focused subjects such as economics and mathematics
  • Candidates are required to be pursuing an undergraduate or post graduate degree from an accredited college or university with a graduation timeframe between September 2025 and June 2026
  • Achieved minimum of 112 UCAS point (or equivalent) and on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)
  • To be eligible to apply for this role in Chester, you must have the right to work in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available. (We are able to sponsor VISAs in Dublin and Bromley for this role)
  • Must be available to join the programme from June 2025 to August 2025
  • Fundamental knowledge and understanding of programming languages, data visualization tools, application frameworks, distributed systems and databases
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, including various work assignments and changing priorities
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to influence both vertically and horizontally
  • Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic and a team attitude
  • Distinguished written and oral communications skills
