Engineering Practice
Entry requirements
Candidates for the programme must:
Have completed a relevant 4 year undergraduate qualification in a related discipline with at least a B grade average across the final year papers, and
Satisfy the prerequisites for graduate study in the subject(s) being presented for the degree.
If an applicant has professional engineering experience, they may be admitted to the programme at the discretion of the University of Waikato’s Academic Board.

Course content
Gain specialist skills and knowledge in civil, electronics, materials and processing and mechanical engineering with an internationally relevant Master of Engineering Practice.
Designed for recent graduates and practicing engineers who want to upgrade and update their knowledge in the rapidly changing field of engineering.
The Master of Engineering Practice (MEngPrac) is a taught programme that may be completed in 120 points and in 12 months for those with an Honours degree (or with professional experience), or in 180 points.
