A UK bachelor’s degree with upper second-class honours (2:1) or higher in a relevant
engineering, health or science subject,
plus relevant observation or work
experience. Satisfactory Occupational Health and DBS checks are also required.

In your personal statement, you must show that you have:
excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills;

Course content

On this course you'll recieve an excellent preparation for a career as an audiologist or with a means to advance your career in audiology. You'll learn audiology techniques in practicals, be introduced to patient care in the taster audiology clinics and discover more about cochlear implantation via our in-house auditory implant service.
The two-year MSc Audiology (with clinical placement) includes at least 40 weeks of clinical placement and is accredited by the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists, making you eligible to register as an audiologist and work in the NHS on completion.
On the PG Dip Audiology (with clinical placement) you will study the same course content full-time in year 1 as the MSc but you won't need to write a dissertation. This will be followed by the clinical placement. The course includes at least 40 weeks of clinical placement and is accredited by the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists, making you eligible to register as an audiologist and work in the NHS on completion.
This course can be studied over 3 years. In this situation your first year is studied full-time, and your clinical placement is studied part-time over 2 years.

Information for international students

English language: band D, IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.5 in reading and writing and 6.0 in listening and speaking.
