Course content

Healthcare systems around the world are under immense strain due to a huge range of issues including climate change, workforce shortages, conflicts, pandemics, and much more. It has never been more important than now to understand how to effectively lead healthcare and public health organisations, to ensure resilience, and maintain operations to meet the rising demand.

Course description

Designed for future leaders in healthcare organisations, this course offers a mix of public health expertise and management science. You will learn about key areas such as health needs and inequalities, evidence gathering, research, needs assessment, economic evaluation, and healthcare financing. The program covers essential principles of management and organisational theory, addressing specific challenges in public health, health policy, and health systems.

It provides a comprehensive understanding of both worlds, unlike our MBA, MPH, or MSc programs. By integrating public health, management, health services research, and health economics, you will be equipped with a distinctive and powerful skill set which shall Improve your prospects for advanced roles in healthcare organisations, public health departments, and policy-making bodies.

Continuing Professional Development

All modules in this course can be studied as standalone CPD modules. It is possible to complete standalone modules and then apply to transfer to an MSc/PGDip/PGCert qualification. Any time spent on the CPD route counts toward the time limit a student has to complete their chosen qualification.
