Entry requirements
This course is designed for individuals with a first degree in any subject who want to accelerate their path to becoming an occupational therapist.
A 2:1 or above in a first degree, completed within the last five years, is required for entry.

Course content
Occupational therapy is a client-centred profession focused on promoting health and wellbeing through meaningful activities. As an occupational therapist, you will support individuals in participating in the activities they value by adapting environments and tasks to enhance their overall health and wellbeing.
Upon successful completion, you will be eligible for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and professional membership with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
You will:
- Gain an academic qualification and eligibility to apply for licence to practice with the HCPC.
- Have the opportunity for a clinical placement.
- Be prepared to enter the workplace on completion of this programme.
All about the course
- Philosophy: The course prepares you to promote the health and wellbeing of individuals, communities, and populations through occupation. You will learn to articulate the value of occupation, challenge the status quo, and work inclusively across diverse contexts.
- Practical Experience: Placements across Greater Manchester will develop your skills in various settings, including contemporary practice areas. You may need to travel up to 90 minutes from your term-time address for placements.
