Entry requirements
Normally a recognised first degree or equivalent will be required. Experience acquired through work or other means that enables staff responsible for admissions to be confident of your ability to succeed in the programme may also be considered, in line with QAA guidance. It is essential that within your professional role you have opportunities to teach in order to be able to complete some of the assignments.

Are you a doctor, dentist or other healthcare professional seeking to develop your role as a teacher, trainer, supervisor or mentor? This programme builds your confidence and competence and develops your research skills. Also available to study full-time over one year, or part-time over three years, you will be supported in applying new knowledge and skills to your current or future professional role.
On this programme, you collaborate with colleagues from a range of healthcare professions, sharing your experiences and advancing your knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment. Whichever pathway you choose, full- or part-time, assessments enable you to develop your educational practice and interests, whatever your individual context and role. Also available to study part-time online, or as a full-time programme for intercalating students.
The Masters in Clinical Education Programme (MClinEd) is designed primarily for clinicians and others involved in clinical education to develop their knowledge and skills as teachers, trainers, educational scholars, leaders and managers. The programme is aimed at doctors, dentists and other healthcare professionals and at individuals teaching in formal university settings on medical, dental and other healthcare degree programmes
Information for international students
If your first language is not English you will be required to provide evidence of competence in English language:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): The minimum acceptable English language requirement is IELTS 6.5 or above with no less than 6.0 in each category (listening, reading, speaking, writing).
