Entry requirements

Primary degree in a suitable discipline with first or second-class honours or an approved equivalent qualification. Or an equivalent capability based on prior professional experience. A performance audition and interview will be required in all classes. Additional audio, visual or written material may be required.

Course content

The programme offers a comprehensive grounding in the skills and knowledge needed to function as a successful community musician in a range of contexts. The course is aimed at musicians who want to extend or develop the abilities needed to facilitate the expressive work of others and work effectively with a wide range of people in diverse settings. Students attain practical perspectives and hands-on experiences in the emerging field of Community Music in conjunction with developing the skills required to realise projects from their inception to their final execution.

Information for international students

Applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of either prior successful completion of a degree qualification taught through the medium of English or meet one of the Universities English Language Requirements.
