Entry requirements
- A minimum of a 2:2 Honours degree in Adult Nursing
- Adult nurse live on the NMC professional register
- Currently employed as an adult nurse
- Recent study within the last three years
- For applicants whose first language is not English, we require IELTS Level 7 in every element.
- Applicants must be able to work in the UK without restriction and must not require a student visa

Course content
The 2-year MSc Midwifery programme in midwifery is for adult nurses on the NMC register.
Throughout the programme, you'll gain the knowledge, skills, and competence to care for women and their families across the childbearing period; during pregnancy, labour, birth, postnatal, including the systematic examination and assessment of the newborn infant.
At the point of registration, you will be able to provide skilled, knowledgeable and compassionate care for women and their newborn infants and families.

Information for international students
If you require a student visa to study or if your first language is not English you will be required to provide acceptable evidence of your English language proficiency level.
This course requires academic IELTS 7.0 overall, with 7.0 in each skill. See other English language proficiency qualifications accepted by this University.
Fees and funding
Health Education England will provide funding to cover the tuition fees for this programme. Students on this programme will be paid a salary equivalent to an NHS band 5 (mid-point) funded by Health Education England.
