Course content
This APM-accredited course provides you with the knowledge and skills to perform successfully at a senior management level. You study the management of challenging projects – including projects for global companies over international boundaries – on a course developed with professional bodies and leading specialists, ensuring your learning reflects current and best practice. The data analytics units prepare you to synthesise complex information to produce meaningful solutions, covering areas such as data utilisation, programming and the importance of analytics in decision making.

What will you study?
Our MSc in Project Management with Data Analytics equips you with a powerful combination of skills in project management, data analytics, and network systems. Through a blend of case studies and real-world project experiences, our Project Management Theory and Practice unit enables you to evaluate, adapt, and apply project management principles to overcome complex challenges and optimise outcomes. You will develop critical skills in planning, communication, motivation, and initiative to excel in diverse business environments. In today’s digital landscape, managing risks effectively is essential. Our Digital Projects and Risk Management unit teaches you to apply risk management principles using industry-standard software, addressing a range of risks, including environmental, social and governance (ESG), financial and security risks in digital projects.
Our Integrated Supply Chain and Logistics Management unit offers you a deep understanding of modern supply chains, enabling you to design, control and manage them effectively. In the data analytics portion of the course, the Applied Data Analytics unit introduces you to data mining principles within a business context. You will explore text mining, data mining and analytics methods, applying them to real-world datasets to solve business challenges. Additionally, you will gain hands-on experience with SAS Viya, a cloud-enabled analytics engine that supports advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI.
You will also study Knowledge and Information Management, focusing on the strategic role of data, knowledge, and information in business decision-making. You will explore tools and techniques in Business Intelligence and Data Utilisation to enhance strategic decision-making and maximise company success. This course also includes a Strategy unit, where you will gain a deep understanding of business environments and strategic opportunities. You will learn to assess strategic positions, formulate strategies and implement decisions effectively. Finally, the Capstone unit allows you to synthesise theory and practice by researching a topic relevant to your field of study. You will receive guidance on research methods and work closely with a research supervisor to develop and refine your ideas.
