Course content
This virtual course offers new editors the opportunity to gain a thorough introduction to modern publishing processes and the key skills of copy-editing and proofreading.
Combining self-study with virtual learning, the course is run by well-respected editors in the industry with a wealth of experience.
On completing this course, you'll have the foundations on which to build a successful editorial career.
This course is run over three half-day sessions, within a one-week period. A free Zoom account is required to join.
Fees and funding
Discretionary discounts of up to 50% are available for students, recent graduates who are seeking work, or those who have been made redundant. Please ask for details on application.
If you are currently unemployed, your local Jobcentre Plus may be able to help with funding.
The Book Trade Charity, BTBS, offers funding to people who have worked in publishing or bookselling but are currently unemployed.
