An EngD at Swansea University is suitable for graduates with an Engineering or relevant Physical Sciences degree with a minimum level of 2:1, or with a relevant Masters level qualification.

Course content
Our EngD projects, run by our Materials and Manufacturing Academy (M2A), are defined by our long standing industrial sponsors and address operational requirements identified by these companies. Projects are focused on our established areas of functional coatings, computer modelling and advanced materials and manufacturing.
Research into advanced, structural materials is undertaken in conjunction with the Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre (UTC) in Materials based at Swansea. These projects are funded by the EPSRC Strategic Partnership in Structural Metals for Gas Turbines.
