Course content

This programme explores the Islamic world's social, cultural, and intellectual history, literature, religion, philosophy, arts, and digital humanities, both past and present. Using interdisciplinary humanities approaches, it positions Islamic studies as integral to global humanities, challenging essentialist narratives and highlighting regional, cultural, and religio-intellectual diversity. Accessible to students from various academic backgrounds, it requires no prior knowledge of Islam or proficiency in languages other than English.
