Entry requirements
Typically, you should have one of the following;
• an honours degree or equivalent in food, wellbeing, health or biological science.
• substantial relevant experience at a senior level - with evidence from referees, performance on training courses or further education qualifications, showing you are capable of gaining a postgraduate qualification.

Course content
Build your knowledge of nutrition, physiology and biochemistry, behaviour change techniques, food science, public health policy and practice.
- Gain in-depth knowledge and detailed understanding of the principles and practice of human nutrition.
- Develop an appropriate level of competence in public health management including financial, organisational and applied management relevant to employment in the nutrition and the public health sector.
- Enhance your ability to critically analyse current and developing theory.
Nutritionists within the public health sector play an important role in promoting good health and preventing diet-related disease in the population. This course equips recent graduates and health professionals with the knowledge and skills to specialise in public health nutrition.
