About Real Training
Real Training provides online postgraduate-level courses for teachers, senior leaders and educational professionals working in specialist areas of SEND. Courses are led by practising SEND experts and educational psychologists and quality assured and validated by Middlesex University - a top-six University in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2024.
The company was founded by educational psychologists who are passionate about supporting all young people. This year we are celebrating twenty years of delivering specialist SEND and mental health training to educational professionals across the globe. In the last academic year 93% of delegates rated our courses as “good” or “very good.”
Learn online at your own pace
Our courses, designed from the ground up to be online are delivered by fully-qualified, experienced, professionals via our market-leading online learning environment, Campus Online.
Practice-led courses delivered by experts
We’ve brought together experienced educational psychologists, school leaders and SEND experts to design, lead and tutor on our programmes, which means you will have access to the latest evidence-based content. Many of these experts practise in schools every day so their knowledge is right up to date and they know what it takes to deliver lasting change.
Unlike a traditional university course, you don’t have to be away from the classroom for long periods of time, and your setting can start benefiting from your new knowledge and skills from the start. You will be able to undertake projects in your setting that will have direct benefit to your students.
Flexible learning pathways
Our learning pathways are designed to be flexible. Choose modules that will address the needs of your setting or your personal career aspirations.
We also offer ongoing professional qualifications such as training for Senior Mental Health Leads or for dyslexia specialists. These courses are quality assured by organisations including the Department for Education (DfE), the British Psychological Society (BPS), and the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC).
