What you'll study

Our two year Management MSc with Integrated Graduate Diploma combines a one-year postgraduate degree with a bespoke Pre-Masters programme year. Designed for non-business graduates who may not have any prior knowledge of management or business, this programme delivers sophisticated management and provides an excellent basis for employment in the private or state sector and for further academic study. It equips you with the skills needed to become a successful manager.

The subject content and teaching methodology employed in the Pre-Masters year builds a skills set for successful participation over the remainder of the programme, with the second year enabling you to apply these skills to a variety of business and management-related subject areas in more depth.

Through a mix of lectures, seminars and guest lecturers, you will gain a real-world understanding of key management issues and the technical know-how to implement strategies on an organisational and corporate level. You’ll develop theoretical and practical skills and engage with current debates on management issues. Topics covered include:

  • finance and accounting
  • marketing in an international environment
  • strategic management
  • organisational behaviour
  • change in volatile environments
  • corporate social responsibility.

Structure

  • Five compulsory modules
  • Three elective modules
  • 10,000-word dissertation
  • Optional non-credit-bearing professional skills module
