Entry requirements
A UK honours degree (minimum 2.2) or equivalent in a relevant biological-related subject. Applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered. International students need IELTS 6.5 (with minimum of 5.5 in reading, listening, speaking and writing).

Course content
This MSc Biomedical Science programme will produce postgraduates with skills in a specialist discipline applicable to medical and paramedical laboratories, while being relevant to a broad range of work-related issues. It will include training in the current and emerging areas of biomedical sciences relevant to the biomedical and biotechnology sectors, and for a career in research.
The majority of graduates from the course proceed to PhD projects or employment/career advancement in the bioscience sector.
This course also includes an option of a one year work placement.

This course provides understanding of the biology of disease processes in humans, the principles of treatment of such diseases, and the underlying biological disciplines that enable us to study and explain them. This degree gives you the theoretical and practical skills needed for a career within companies and research organisations.
