Course content

Our teacher training courses will help you achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). To help you develop teaching skills to be confident in the classroom, you'll get support from specialist education lecturers, academic advisers and school-based mentors.

You'll benefit from excellent teaching facilities, including a large collection of resources covering professional practice, teacher education and subject specialism, as well as useful online resources. Studying teacher training in London gives you access to one of the most diverse cohorts of students in the UK, as well as great opportunities for employment in education.

Our initial teacher training courses have been praised by Ofsted with our secondary age courses rated as ‘outstanding’ and our primary age courses as 'good'.

Teaching training careers

We have strong partnership links with primary and secondary schools in London, which can lead to exciting placement opportunities and teaching careers.

There is currently a shortage of qualified teachers in the UK. Training as a teacher at Middlesex University London can therefore open career opportunities for those who want to make a difference in young people's lives.
