Course content

Are you passionate about ideas? Do you see problems as opportunities? Do you want to develop your creativity, critical thinking and boost your entrepreneurial journey?

Whether you have just started a business (or plan to), are working in a small business or family enterprise, or want to apply entrepreneurship principles to a career elsewhere, this course will help you develop your entrepreneurial capabilities, whatever your starting point.

You’ll explore the requirements of business planning and the vital role of marketing and logistics, you’ll gain practical experience on a live project where you can begin trading, and you’ll be challenged to critique business ideas and theory to expand and develop your thinking.

Your studies will include a research project, where you can choose to focus on either your own start-up or business development proposal, or a market of interest. Every step of the way you’ll be developing your personal and practical skills that you can put to use in business or in your career.

While the practical skills are vital, you’ll also learn about management systems and analyse socio-political environments. Topics like ethics and sustainability are relevant to any business. With our expert research and teaching staff, and visiting professionals, you’ll hear about the latest industry trends as they’re happening. By putting your work into context, we believe you’ll be a much more effective entrepreneur or entrepreneurial employee when you graduate.

We pride ourselves on our campus location in Manchester, a city at the forefront of innovation and industrial development. Apply now to accelerate your entrepreneurial journey.
