Entry requirements
You should have a Bachelor’s honours degree, typically a 2:2 or above. Ideally, you should have an undergraduate degree in an engineering or physical science.
We also welcome applications from mature students and recognise all other equivalent and international qualifications. Applicants with academic qualifications that do not meet the standard entry criteria may be considered if they have significant relevant work experience.

Manufacturing is at the centre of engineering, as everything in our day-to-day lives needs to be created and produced.
Our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Management MSc delivers a unique balance between manufacturing processes and management. This will prepare you for a successful career as a technologist or manager who can meet the engineering, business and societal challenges of the rapidly changing global manufacturing markets and industries.
The programme is directly informed by our world-leading manufacturing research, which is driven by close collaborations with industry. You will benefit from our industry informed modules allowing you to deliver high-quality research with industrial impact, benefiting your future endeavours and our reputation as a world-leading research institution. You will have access to high-tech laboratories, world-leading researchers, computer labs and some of the latest industry standard software.
During the summer, you may be given the exciting opportunity of a micro-placement project. These placements are arranged in collaboration with our existing industrial partners and alumni contacts and aim to provide you with hands-on practical experience, working on appealing projects relevant to your MSc.
