Entry requirements
A first degree (minimum 2.2) or equivalent and normally be required to have at least one year’s post graduate work experience.
Non-Standard Entry: Where there is a minimum of 2 years work experience but no first degree. applicant must complete a 1,500 word report on an organisational HR issue, provide an extended personal statement and supply two supporting references confirming suitability for entry to a postgraduate programme.
APEL is possible, within the normal rules and regulations of LSBU, but special PSRB rules apply that require APEL applicants to have successfully completed comparative 20 credit module(s) from a CIPD approved level 7 course.
MSc HRM/D (Top-Up): Applicants who have already studied and achieved their Level 7 Advanced Diploma in HRM or Post graduate Diploma in HRM can apply for entry to the top up as long as they have evidence of 120 credits at Level 7. In order to achieve the top up applicants will need to study 3 modules, Research Methods and the Capstone project which will give them the extra 60 credits that take them up to the 180 credits required for an MScHRM.

This course aims to enhance the professional capability of anyone working in the field of Human Resources and will enable you to make a significant professional contribution to the management of Human Resources Development in an organisation or sector by using the following skills:

- analytical and intuitive / creative thinking
You can choose to study the PgDip as a stand alone qualification or you can choose to complete the full Masters qualification. Both courses are approved by the Chartered Institute of Professional Development (CIPD) and meet the CIPD Advanced Standards. This means on successful completion of the Postgraduate Diploma or MSc you'll become an Associate member of the CIPD. In addition the programme provides you with the knowledge to upgrade to either Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow levels of professional membership,providing you meet the respective criteria as set by the CIPD.
Benefits of MscThe MSc course has all of the benefits of the PgDip – including CIPD accreditation – plus a research methods and dissertation module that provides students with an opportunity to conduct an independent in-depth study into related HRD issue.

The PG Dip HRD is designed for busy professionals working within the context of personnel/human resource management and the allied professions, seeking personal or career development but who may not have the time to commit to a full masters degree.
