Entry requirements
Do note: from 2019, the Application-level exam will become compulsory. The Application exam itself will be revised with a pre-seen scenario released two weeks ahead of the exam. This will be assessed on a competency basis, with a stronger focus on advisory and writing skills.
In addition, from 2019 the question that used to incorporate Taxation of Individuals, Inheritance Tax, Trusts and Estates will be split into two questions; resulting in the following Application level question options (select one question specialism at the point of entry).

The objective of this written examination is for you to demonstrate that you have the higher skills expected of a Chartered Tax Adviser by way of a tax based case study.
