Applicants should normally hold a good undergraduate degree (2:2), in a social science or humanities related subject, or equivalent international grade/qualification (including degrees in other subjects), from a recognised university.

Course content
This interdisciplinary and practical course provides you with the opportunity to develop an advanced level understanding of the inter-relationship between law, justice and punishment with a strong emphasis on understanding criminal justice as a social complex where personal, local, national and global collide.
Over the course of the programme you will be given the chance to develop social and cultural knowledge and research skills that are relevant to an increasingly global job market. You will have the opportunity to understand real word debates about criminal justice, crime control and security, policing, penality and offender management. A key feature of this programme is its emphasis on developing practice-relevant skills in relation to enhanced subject knowledge.
Information for international students
This course requires IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5. Pre-sessional English is available if required.
