Entry requirements
Our standard postgraduate entry requirement is a second-class honours degree (2:2 or above) from a UK university, or an equivalent international qualification.
A professional or other qualification obtained by written examinations approved by Birkbeck.
Applications are reviewed on their individual merits and your professional qualifications and/or relevant work experience will be taken into consideration positively. We actively support and encourage applications from mature learners.

Course content
On this Master's degree you will gain a comprehensive understanding of a range of issues including:
- ongoing digital transformation of the economy
- e-business
- management of emerging technologies such as AI and blockchain
- the Internet of Things
- virtual reality
- new digital business models.
You will also examine Big Data-driven decision-making, the increasing role of intangible assets, IPR and intellectual capital, as well as regulatory and ethical issues in relation to the application of digital business.
Our MSc Digital Business links theory with practice. You will gain extensive knowledge of the theories, principles and tools for analysing and coping with crucial issues of business innovation and digital transformation of business, in various types of firms. Critical thinking and problem-focused decision-making are key components of this postgraduate degree.
