Course content
This brand-new programme – launching in January 2024 – offers a blend of knowledge, analytical and practical skills. This blend is vital for effective management of people in the challenging context of today’s public and private sector organisations.
Upon graduation, you'll be in a position to effectively make decisions and advise on a wide range of influences on business and HR strategies. You’ll develop the ability to supply accurate and timely advice about UK legislation, helping shape improvements to organisational and individual performance. There's an opportunity to study and be able to implement HRM policies and practices that take into account influences from different stakeholders and institutional forces relevant to the dealing with people’s contributions and rewards within organisations.
This programme will:
- Develop your knowledge and understanding of contemporary HRM as a strategic management function in public and private sector organisations.
- Build on your critical understanding of the complexities of managing employment relationships in the modern business environment.
- Enable you to become an HR manager who’ll have an influence on organisational performance and change.
- Give you the opportunity to study and learn intellectual abilities and strength in a multicultural and stimulating academic environment.
This programme is designed for people who, on the basis of their first degree and/or work experience in people management, wish to acquire further study of more contemporary and in depth HRM knowledge. The skills and competencies you’ll pick up throughout your studies are required for domestic and international organisations, and in the public and private sectors.
There will be opportunities to work with local organisations, giving you the chance to further understand the nature of your intended profession.
