Job description
As a Global Mobility trainee, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients to manage the compliance reporting arising from their cross-border employees, whilst also delivering advisory work, involving our overseas teams. Working closely with our team of experienced professionals, in the UK and across the globe, you will gain hands-on experience in managing of the delivery of our global mobility offering:
- Advice and planning for cross-border employment arrangements ranging from formal assignments to remote worker scenarios.
- Cross-border Tax and Social Security optimisation and compliance reporting
- The management of immigration risk and applications
- Tracking and reporting short-term business visitors
- Working with clients on their global mobility strategy and policy design
- The management of global mobility costs
- International payroll coordination and reporting

During your first two years you will
- Meet and engage with our clients, speaking with people across a range of industries and countries
- Request and obtain relevant information from clients based across the globe, building worldwide relationships
- Develop a thorough understanding of personal tax computations and the impact of tax residency on them.
- Deliver presentations both internally and externally on tax residency and cross-border compliance
By the end of your third year you will
- Work on a range of different global mobility advisory engagements covering a range of technical areas
- Develop a strong technical knowledge of the relevant UK tax legislation which is applicable to employees working cross-border
- Coach and lead more junior team members on advisory engagements
- Work directly with our clients and develop strong relationships with those clients to deliver on repeat engagements
- Begin to manage advisory engagements, including planning, budgeting and working as part of the wider tax team
- Develop a strong understanding of our control and risk management procedures

Learning and development
- Fully funded professional qualification for this role: Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) / Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA)
- Additional qualification(s): Level 7 apprenticeship
