Childcare Volunteer

Job description

Are you ready to make a difference as a Childcare volunteer in Tanzania? Join International Volunteer HQ’s Childcare project and play an important role in supporting kindergartens and early childhood centers in low-income communities. These centers are vital for families who rely on them for childcare while they work but often face challenges due to limited funding and resources.

As a volunteer, you’ll gain hands-on experience in childcare while supporting dedicated staff in creating an environment that helps children thrive and learn.

Volunteer from just £16 /day. You’ll assist at daycares and kindergartens that are underfunded and understaffed, providing crucial support through activities such as:

  • Assisting with teaching and classroom activities.
  • Caring for and interacting with children.
  • Organizing games and fun activities.
  • Helping with feeding and mealtimes.
  • Engaging with children to foster learning and development.
  • Supporting other general tasks as needed.

Volunteering with children in Tanzania is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while developing valuable personal and professional skills. You’ll:

  • Gain practical experience in childcare and teaching.
  • Support disadvantaged communities by improving early childhood education.
  • Help children build essential life skills in a nurturing and safe environment.
  • Immerse yourself in Tanzanian culture and traditions.
  • Explore Africa’s breathtaking wildlife and natural beauty.

Why Volunteer in Arusha, Tanzania?

IVHQ’s Tanzania volunteer program is based in Arusha, a lively city near iconic destinations like the Serengeti, Mount Kilimanjaro, and other national parks. Tanzania is renowned for its stunning wildlife, vast wilderness, and historical significance as the site of ancient human fossils.

By volunteering, you’ll make a tangible impact while experiencing Tanzania’s rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and incredible wildlife.
