Oceans Research Institute PTY
About Oceans Research Institute PTY
Oceans Research Institute investigates the biology and ecology of mega-fauna, including sharks, marine mammals, and terrestrial carnivores; we advise governmental and non-governmental bodies on relevant conservation issues. We also offer multi-disciplinary practical and theoretical training for aspiring researchers from internship to postgraduate levels in conjunction with partner schools, technical colleges, and universities.
The research on which students get training on and take part in, is permitted research with several published peer-review outputs per year. Our research training program has been recognised by many international universities providing up to a full semester credits for one month with us due to the intensive experience obtained by the students. Students not only help the research but they do first hand learn and collect all the data used to answer research and conservation questions.
We look for students willing to experience how to maximise research projects in the field, with a passion for learning and for making an impact in terms of applied marine research and conservation.
