We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sustainability Consultant and BREEAM Assessor to join our growing Energy and Sustainability team. Based at either our new modern head office in central Swindon which has good travel links to London, Bristol and Bath, or one of our other offices in Oxford, Bristol or Cornwall, you will have the opportunity to expand your skillset and gain invaluable knowledge from other team members, whilst working closely with our other business groups.
Your role will include:
- Leading on projects to deliver BREEAM, HQM and other rating systems advice and assessment to clients and design teams
- Working on a wide variety of projects, with multiple clients, across industry sectors
- Delivering across various sustainability services including energy and sustainability statements for planning, master-planning sustainability advice, contractor support and energy/water analysis
- Project management responsibilities including managing multiple and cross-team workflows and team members, financial management of projects, invoicing and project performance reporting
- Business development responsibilities including bid development, fee proposals and work winning
- Building and maintaining new and existing client relationships at project and strategic levels
- Keeping abreast of industry/sector initiatives (e.g. LETI, net zero, Building Regulations) and feeding back to team members
- Potential for line management of other team members
- Potential for involvement in embodied carbon Life Cycle Assessments depending on experience and capacity

What we are looking for
- A proven track record of leading on and delivering successful BREEAM assessments for clients, including BREEAM Excellent or better
- BREEAM licensed
- BREEAM AP licensed (beneficial)
- Knowledge and experience of any of the following schemes is beneficial; Home Quality Mark (HQM), BREEAM Communities, SKA, WELL, Fitwel, CEEQUAL and DREAM
- Awareness and knowledge of industry regulations and sector initiatives including net zero carbon, LETI, NABERS etc.
- Knowledge and experience of working on embodied carbon Life Cycle Assessments (beneficial)
- Leading/project managing delivery of energy and sustainability services on projects
- Team player capable of working in a multi-discipline environment
- Experience of working with multiple design teams and clients on a variety of projects
- Excellent at planning your own workload and dealing with competing deadlines
- Excellent communication skills- verbal and written
- A passion for sustainability

- Educated to degree level in Environmental Science, Geography, Sustainability, Engineering or a related discipline
