SharePoint and Website UX / Interaction Designer

Job description

We are now looking for a SharePoint and Website UX / Interaction Designer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. Part time working hours are also available for this role; we can accept part time applicants who can commit to working a minimum of 30 hours per week.

As a SharePoint and Website UX / Interaction Designer, you will be responsible for optimising and enhancing our SharePoint intranet and external website to deliver a seamless user experience.

Collaborating closely with content designers, performance analysts, and other key stakeholders, you will ensure our digital platforms meet high standards of quality and accessibility.

You will also play a critical role in translating user research into actionable design improvements.

Additionally, you will:

  • Configure, customise, and deploy SharePoint communication sites in alignment with MS O365 functionality
  • Write, adapt, and maintain HTML/CSS/JavaScript code for our external-facing website
  • Analyse user research and usability testing results to iterate and improve designs
  • Ensure all designs and services meet quality and accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.2
  • Build strong collaborative relationships across our organisation
  • Deliver integrated and consistent user experiences within an agile environment

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in SharePoint communication site configuration and customisation
  • Experience in delivering designs in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills for website development and maintenance
  • Proficiency in quality assurance and accessibility standards, particularly WCAG 2.2
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
