Job description
Are you ready to embark on a career path that combines your passion for working with people in a fast-paced environment? We work with most of the major UK logistics companies including DHL, Wincanton and Culina as well as five of the country’s top six food retailers, including Morrison’s, Marks and Spencer and The Co-operative Group delivering a managed services solution which provides the benefits of single source supply with the advantages of multi-agency provision. We're currently seeking Graduate Operations Consultants who are eager to step into the world of recruitment.
The role
Recruitment is at the heart of our operation, and it's what we excel at. The UK is facing a shortage of professional HGV drivers, and we're searching for individuals who are enthusiastic about building strong relationships with these drivers. We're also looking for candidates who can represent our business with a professional manner when liaising with our broad client base. Working at our flagship head office, our branch operates from the same converted barn, situated on the leafy Luton Hoo Estate.
Whilst any potential candidate will spend the majority of their time in the Luton hub, a requirement of the role will necessitate the occasional night away so the clients we service remotely can be visited in person on a monthly basis.
Recruitment: Our primary function is recruiting professional HGV drivers. You'll be part of a team of consultants dedicated to providing an exceptional experience to our drivers. This journey begins from the moment a driver applies for a role and continues with daily communication while planning their routes.
Client Liaison: Our extensive network throughout the UK has enabled us to generate over £100 million in revenue. Our success is a result of our commitment to operational excellence and the exceptional service we consistently deliver to our clients. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of surpassing expectations and establishing long-lasting partnerships with our clients.
Planning: A significant part of your day will involve strategically matching drivers with clients we serve in the South East of England. You'll be part of a team responsible for placing between 200 to 450 drivers daily. Efficient communication, quick problem-solving skills, and negotiation abilities will be crucial for this role.
Business development: You'll collaborate closely with our Senior Team to strengthen our client pipeline, consistently seeking out new opportunities when liaising with our existing drivers and clients.
The rewards
Starting salary is £30,000 pa basic during which time you will be in a process of induction into the business and an initial period of training.
The company also operates a Bonus scheme if the business achieves budget. The budget is realistic and has been achieved every year for the last 8 years. Bonus can vary between 4% and 10% of your salary depending on overall company performance. You will also have the opportunity to join the Pertemps Network Group’s generous share scheme.
Beyond that, opportunities for career and salary progression are excellent.
Given the nature of this dynamic business some weekend work (one in two) is required. However, you get two rest days midweek after working a weekend. There is also a requirement for out of hour’s on-call (one night in ten).
This is not a dull nine to five job, and there is a real ‘buzz’ about working for ADR Network that other employers struggle to match. At ADR Network we are proud to offer genuine career growth.
