We are proud to have been awarded the highly prestigious title of 'Top University in the UK for Sustainability’ in the People & Planet University League 2022/23. This award follows on closely from being awarded ‘UK and Ireland University of the Year 2021’ by the Times Higher Education and ‘Welsh University of the Year 2021’ by the Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide.

We are located in the capital city of Wales, Cardiff; a vibrant city rich with culture, adventure and sport. World leading research

We take pride in our excellent reputation for applied research, active engagement with industry and prosperous postgraduate research community. Cardiff Met has a strong commitment to undertaking and supporting research at the cutting edge of knowledge exploration, with 79% of the University’s research impacts judged as ‘Internationally Excellent’ or ‘World Leading’ in the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021).

Cardiff Metropolitan University is currently ranked 3rd in the UK Postgraduate Research Experience Survey with a general satisfaction rating of 88% (PRES 2021).

Outstanding student support

We are committed to supporting the success of our postgraduate students. Our expert Student Services teams offer free, impartial and confidential counselling and advice on money, wellbeing, disability and dyslexia to support you throughout your postgraduate experience.

Cardiff Met’s Career Service can support you with your career planning and development during your studies and for up to three years after you graduate. In the latest Graduate Outcomes Survey 96% of Cardiff Met postgraduates secured employment or entered further study within six months of graduation.
