Applicants should have: a good Honours degree in Psychology; Graduate Basis for Chartership with BPS; Relevant counselling/therapeutic training to at least certificate level counselling/therapeutic experience, e.g. NHS Psychology Assistant, paid or voluntary counselling); Satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure.
Course description
This taught programme is designed for psychology graduates who wish to pursue a career as a counselling psychologist. It provides a professional academic education and experiential training to produce competent deliverers of evidence-based psychological therapy. This is a HPC approved and a BPS accredited course. Successful graduates would then be eligible to apply for chartered status.
